When someone says “extreme sports”, what the first thing you think of?

· Skiin?

· Snowboarding?

· Hang Gliding?

· Bungee Jumping?

Or maybe?

· Mountain bike?

· Kitesurfing?

· Skydiving?

Well, these are cool sports, of course. But even more amazing are two extreme sports I got to know recently: buggy rides and boia-crossing!!!

A buggy ride on Genipau (an amazing beach near Natal, rio Grande do Norte) is really extreme! The main ingredients are speed, almost vertical dunes and … WOW! A lot adrenalines!

I tried boia-crossing in Bonito ( Mato Grosso do Sul) last weekend and it’s SO-OOO amazing! All you need is life jacket, a helmet, and of course a rubber buoy (similar to those tubes in water parks). You take a deep breath in and… there you go down the river, enjoying cool waterfalls and rapids – not mention the clear water.

Brazil has lots of places to explore to explore if you are an extreme-sports fan. And because there are so many different rivers and dunes in this country, you have an option: you can enjoy these sports wich a lot of adventure or not so much of it. All you need to do is to ask for a ride ‘com emoção’( with a lot of adventures and adrenaline) or ‘sem emoção ‘( this one is for ‘chickens’like me!).
